This page is to book your children in for an initial trial session. After this you must register them for the term. This secures their place, ensures that they stay consistent and committed, keeps their fitness level up, ensures that they improve and build on their skills each week and keep up with the rest of the class, and makes it viable for us to keep the sessions running for your kids with great coaching at a good venue. FORMAT:
Playing basketball will help improve your kid’s flexibility, balance, and coordination, whilst focusing on good footwork and correct hand-eye coordination for touching the ball.The earlier kids are introduced to the sport, the more likely they are to develop the correct technique. The aim of this programme is to teach kids the basic skills in basketball, and learning all the benefits of doing physical activity.
And also learning new skills, good sportsmanship, goal setting, teamwork and skills development in a fun atmosphere, and teaching them how to play in game situations.

ENTRANCE: Come to the main entrance of Pimlico Academy and the receptionist will let you in. If the receptionist isn’t there then just wait for them to return. Tell them that you’re there for the PlayFit sports session, then go down the stairs and follow the corridor to the right, then through the dining room which leads to the sports hall.
CAR PARKING: Free car parking on street
BICYCLE PARKING: Bike racks by venue entrance
FACILITIES: There are changing rooms, toilets and water fountains by the entrance of the court.
ARRIVAL: Arrive 5-10 minutes before the session start time to find the venue entrance, get to the sports hall, get changed and be ready to start promptly. Do not start practising or playing on court before the session start time.
SPECTATORS: Both the venue and our club rules are that there are no spectators. Friends/parents can go to a cafe nearby and return at the end of the session.
BASKETBALL HOOPS: No dunking, no hanging on the rim or net, no slamming the backboard. There is a zero tolerance policy to ensure that the hoops, net and backboard are not damaged.
SMOKING: No smoking or vaping anywhere on the venue grounds.
ALCOHOL: Please don't drink alcoholic drinks on-site, and don't come to play under the influence.
NUTS: Please don't bring or consume nuts or products containing nuts on-site.
ANIMALS: No dogs or other animals allowed on the venue grounds.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bring a plain black t-shirt, a plain white t-shirt and also a plain red t-shirt. And bring a large bottle of water. You can also bring your own basketball ball to warm up with.EVENT SPECIFIC NOTES:
The Sunday juniors basketball classes are run by professional WBBL basketball player and coach Judit Fritz who has played professionally in Italy, France, Hungary and UK and coached several kids groups including U18 national league. This is an exciting opportunity to train with and learn from a professional basketball player.SAFETY:
– Check the Covid guidelines each time before playing.– For everyone's safety, please cut your fingernails short and remove all jewellery including wedding rings, bracelets, watches and fitness trackers.
